Mykali Beach is located in the southeast of the island of Samos, not far from Pythagorion in the Messokampos area, near the lake "Limni Alikes" - a protected area with birds. You will pass it if you come from Pythagorion and go into the direction of Psili Amos. Mykali Beach is a long (3 km), narrow beach with mostly quiet large pebbles. In some parts, mainly where there are a few hotels you will find parasols on the beach but elsewhere there is not much shade to be found. It is also not clean on some parts of the beach. There is not much wind because Mykali Beach is situated in the south of the island, but it is pretty steep if you go into the sea (but the pebbles are replaced by sand in the water), so it's not particularly suitable for families with small children. Mykali Beach is the site of a few larger hotels that get their vistors through package deals rather than it is the domain of the individual traveler.
