The village Katodio and its beach is located in the east of the island of Karpathos, just south of the slightly better known village / beach of Kyra Panagia. Katodio is very small. Here you find just a few houses and the small church of Panteleimon. In the vicinity are a few secluded beaches that are best reached with a good car (4-wheel drive) or on foot. Katodio has a quiet and elongated beach with some rocks off the coast. The beach of Kato Lakkos on the coast in front of Katodio is a beautiful beach that is also suitable for naturists. The beach consists of sand and small pebbles and it is surrounded by cliffs. There are no facilities but Kyra Panagia beach is within walking distance and here you will find a few taverns and a mini market. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas for rent on Kato Lakkos but around the beach there are some trees where you can find a bit of shadow.
