Blackout
- The End of the Road?
Not quite.
In an unprecedented move, Blackout will be enjoying it's first
off-season
in its 13 year history. Our next game will be a trial on 16 July 2002.
This gives us 3 months to sort out team issues including, a permanent
roster of 9-10 players, sponsorship, t-shirts, the 'Shed'
etc. But it's also an opportunity to relax and
return rejuvenated for the Winter Comp.
During our
break, we will be holding regular 'Committee' meetings at
different
venues to help keep our website alive and ensure we are fully prepared
for our return to competition. Those who are interested in being involved,
or just want to catch up with fellow teammates, drop me an e-mail
and I will include you when scheduling these meetings.

Update
Unfortunately
not much to report here. The letters went out just over a week ago and
we have not had any feedback yet. If there are any potential sponsors
reading, now’s the opportunity to jump onboard before the finals
campaign begins.
Charity
Match
Some
may already be aware that an outdoor match is currently being organised.
Final details are still being worked on, but our intention is to have a
combined team (Blackout, Skrotes, Grumpy Old Men, The Fats and maybe
others) play with proceeds going to charity. Sounds ambitious! Our
target is to play sometime in February. Date/times/cost/location etc is
still to be finalised. I hope to have the support and involvement of all
players on this. Any suggestions are always most welcome.

under construction will be a new section to the Shed, ‘The Vault’,
which will contain important historical items, including :
