Warmups

It was another nice day at the ballpark, a welcome breeze kept flowing towards us. Back to back shutouts by the Mets. They are starting to get on a roll and you can feel the excitement in the ballpark from the fans who realize this team is a legitimate contender for the pennant. I had a first row seat in the Excelsior level behind one of those thick glass windows they have installed at the end of each row of stairs, I'm assuming to prevent fans from running down the stairs and flying off to the seats below (it has happened before). Speaking of flying, I saw a yellow parakeet in flight during the game and it caught the eye of a few fans. The lone yellow bird made the sports reviews later after the game and was a hit on social media. We will see if he comes to other games and becomes a good luck charm.

Mets take the field

Mets win at home again

The Mets are on a roll at home. Today's win was their sixth in a row at Citi Field and 10th win in their last 12 games at home. The new players acquired before the trade deadline have made a huge impact on the team.
