The Baroque design is much like Romanesque in the fact that it o had arches instead of points, and it was also like the Byzantine in the fact that it had dombs in it, usually in the middle. In fact they are so much a like that the only real difference between it and the Romanesque is the variety of materials used. Instead of just using stone they used marble and bronze which added some color and extra detail and embelishments.

This period began after the Gothic and it is obvious that it incorporates all styles before it as does any building. We see that it uses the bolder columbs and walls such as the Romanesque but it also incorporates the pointed tops and arches as well as the enelishment style of the Gothic period.
