Scott County trailed 19-7 mid way through the second quarter and 19-14 at halftime but Scott County rallied in the second half for a 49-19 victory.  Scott County took the lead 21-19 on a 44 yard interception return by Sam Sutton and a conversion kick by Colin Dempster.  Scott County added to the lead to make the score 28-19 on a 4 yard blocked punt return by Zane Wilson and a kick by Dempster.  Scott County’s ground game then took over as the Cardinals added 21 more unanswered points.  QB Josh Davis kept the defense honest as he threw for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Kendrick Hamilton led Scott County’s ground game with 75 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Bryce Lawson carried the ball once for a 71 yard touchdown return.  Caleb Demus added 51 yards on five carries.  Josh Davis completed six of 11 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Glenn Covington caught four passes for 111 yards.  Brice Fryman added two receptions for 14 yards and a touchdown.  Berk Watts led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles.  KJ Christopher added seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Sam Sutton intercepted two passes one he returned 44 yards for a touchdown.

Jaylon Conwell led Pulaski County’s ground game with 59 yards on eight carries.  Matt Hendricks completed 18 of 29 passes for 110 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.  Jake Johnson continued to add to his career receiving record with 11 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob New led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Dylan Hopkins added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Jake Johnson intercepted a pass.

Lexington Catholic 41  Boone County 18 – Kirk Fagot completed 21 of 32 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lexington Catholic to a victory.  Corstin Cahill carried the ball 21 times for 228 yards and two touchdowns for Boone County.

 

Scott County 47  Tates Creek 21 – Scott County ran the ball 64 times for 485 yards and six touchdowns tonight.  Brice Fryman (12 carries 108 yards one touchdown), Caleb Demus (11 carries 107 yards two touchdowns), Jacob Burton (20 carries 100 yards two touchdowns), and Kendrick Hamilton (10 times 97 yards one touchdown) led the Cardinals.

 

Lafayette 50  Paul Laurence Dunbar 14 – Walker Wood completed 18 of 31 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions to lead Lafayette.

 

South Oldham 31  Anderson County 14 – Keaton Martin carried the ball 14 times for 138 yards and one touchdown to lead South Oldham.

 

Lexington Christian Academy 32  Shelby Valley 22 – Dillon Wheatley carried the ball 17 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns to lead LCA.

 

Pulaski County 26  Harlan County 14Jake New scored on kickoff returns of 92 and 87 yards to lead Pulaski County to a victory.  Jake Johnson became the all time leader with career receptions tonight with 281 to pass the previous record holder James Quick of Trinity.

 

Southwestern 56  Jeffersonville IN 26 – Patric Edwards carried the ball 12 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns and caught five passes for 63 yards to lead Southwestern.

 

Garrard County 41  Shelby County 31 – Jacob Foley carried the ball 34 times for 293 yards and five touchdowns to lead the victors.

Madison Central could not get their offense unleashed tonight but their defense was outstanding tonight in an 8-7 victory over Knox Central on a rainy, windy night.  Madison Central recorded eight first downs and 114 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized three times for 42 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Knox Central recorded eight first downs and 185 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 36 yards and lost two fumbles.

Jabari Huguely led Madison Central’s ground game with 64 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Jaylin Powell carried the ball five times for 24 yards.  Zach Hardin completed four of 12 passes for 41 yards with one interception.  Ethan Hahn caught two passes for eight yards.  C. Everly caught one pass for 24 yards.  KJ Long led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles.  Tristan Moorehead added five solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Daniel Baker recorded three solo and three assisted tackles and recovered two fumbles.

Jermel Carton led Knox County’s ground game with 36 yards on 10 carries.  Donavan Arthur carried the ball 12 times for 31 yards.  Jaxon Stewart completed five of 10 passes for 115 yards.  Blevin Campbell caught two passes for 86 yards.  Blevin Campbell returned a punt 58 yards for a touchdown.  Lucas Owens led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Tucker Holland added five solo tackles.

Chris Jones scored on a 10 yard run and Harrison Owens tacked on the conversion kick and Bryan Station’s defense stopped Wayne County on downs to give the Defenders a 35-28 overtime victory over Wayne County on a rainy, windy evening in Richmond.  Bryan Station led 28-14 after three quarters but Wayne County following an interception by Jacob Bridgeman scored on a 10 yard run by Lorenzo Linsey and a conversion run to tie the score at 28-28 with 45 seconds left in regulation.  Bryan Station recorded 19 first downs and 377 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized six times for 52 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Wayne County recorded 19 first downs and 369 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized seven times for 71 yards and lost three fumbles.

Jalen Burbage led Bryan Station’s ground game with 53 yards on seven carries.  Chris Jones carried the ball 13 times for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Jalen Burbage completed 18 of 34 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Quinten Floyd completed three of five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Desmond Bernard caught 11 passes for 133 yards and two touchdowns.  Chris Jones added three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Haiden Hunt returned one kickoff for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Romel Croley led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  W. Mitchell added eight solo tackles.  Tre’Jwan Scott recorded six solo tackles.  Joshua Marcum added one solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards and recovered a fumble.  Isaiah Greene and Quinten Floyd each recovered a fumble.

Dalton Garner led Wayne County’s ground attack with 113 yards and one touchdown on 20 carries.  Chase Jackson carried the ball 13 times for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Lorenzo Linsey carried the ball 13 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  German Ruiz added 36 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Lorenzo Linsey completed six of 13 passes for 85 yards.  G. Shoemaker caught three passes for 50 yards.  Aubrey Weaver led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Clay Shelton added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Austin Baird intercepted a pass and Jacob Bridgeman intercepted a pass that he returned 59 yards.

Franklin County dominated on both sides of the ball in a 55-0 victory over Shelby Valley.  Franklin County recorded 21 first downs and 452 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized six times for 60 yards.  Shelby Valley was held to two first downs and four yards of total offense.  The Wildcats were penalized twice for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Denzel Vance led Franklin County’s ground attack with 114 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.  Jerimiah Green carried the ball four times for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Kyere Walker added 49 yards on five carries.  Tre Simmons added 44 yards on two carries.  Jerimiah Green completed five of nine passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns.  Tre Simmons caught three passes for 59 yards and one touchdown.  Ameer Lee added two receptions for 77 yards and two touchdowns.  Tre Simmons returned three punts for 99 yards with a long return of 58 yards for a touchdown.  Zack Janca led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  D. Dixon added two solo and four assisted tackles.

The Shelby Valley ground game netted -10 yards on 24 carries.  Clay Morgan completed two of three passes for 14 yards.  Lamont Wright caught two passes for 14 yards.  Wright had two kickoff returns for 56 yards including a long return of 41 yards.  Dalton Meade led the defense with five solo tackles.  Daniel Little added three solo tackles.

South Oldham scored the last seventeen points of the game to defeat Anderson County by a score of 31-14.  South Oldham recorded 15 first downs and 340 yards of total offense.  The Dragons were penalized six times for 66 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Anderson County recorded 13 first downs and 207 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized four times for 63 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Keaton Martin led South Oldham’s ground game with 138 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Patden George carried the ball six times for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Brandon Elsbury added 54 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Drew Zaubi completed five of 12 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Kenan John caught three passes for 67 yards.  Hayden McMullen caught a two yard touchdown pass.  Darren Weathers led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Patden George added six solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Noah Mitchell recorded four solo tackles with three of his losses totaling losses of 10 yards.  A. Baetens added four solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.

Bryndon Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 35 yards on six carries.  Blake Franklin carried the ball nine times for 31 yards.  Cade Cotton completed seven of nine passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Franklin completed his only pass for a 27 yard touchdown pass.  Blake Franklin caught four passes for 69 yards.  Tyler Peters added three receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Andrew Lykins, Braxton Bostic, Tyler Peters, and Cade Cotton each recorded five solo tackles.  Tyler Peters intercepted a pass and Blake Franklin recovered a fumble.

Lexington Christian Academy trailed 22-14 early in the final quarter but rallied for 32-22 victory over Williamsburg.  The comeback was fueled by two long range touchdowns, a 97 yard kickoff return by Drayden Burton and a 78 yard TD run by Dillon Wheatley.  Logan Nieves ran one yard for the touchdown that iced the win for the LCA Eagles.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 13 first downs and 306 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized nine times for 70 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Williamsburg recorded 21 first downs and 326 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 50 yards.

Dillon Wheatley led the LCA ground game with 117 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Brayden Miller completed eight of 14 passes for 120 yards.  Logan Nieves completed three of six passes for 68 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Wade Drake caught five passes for 85 yards.  Caelan Lebryk added three receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton returned two kickoffs for 122 yards including a touchdown return of 97 yards.  Graham Parks led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses.  Clay Elliot added five solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses.

Darrell White led Williamsburg’s ground game with 56 yards on 12 carries.  Alec Poore completed 20 of 39 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns.  Hagen Hawn caught seven passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Dalton Ponder added seven receptions for 81 yards and two touchdowns.  Hunter Brown led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses.  Darrell White added two solo and five assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Lafayette got their season off on the right foot with a 50-14 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  Lafayette recorded 20 first downs and 486 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 10 times for 120 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 12 first downs and 214 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 12 times for 101 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Lafayette scored seven touchdowns on seven red-zone scoring opportunities.

J. Robinson led Lafayette’s ground game with 85 yards on eight carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball eight times for 58 yards.  D. Taylor added 42 yards on two carries.  Ean Shaw recorded 25 yards and two touchdowns on two carries.  Walker Wood completed 18 of 31 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  M. Guilfoil caught seven passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.  Zak Sherman added four receptions for 7 yards and a touchdown.  Dekwan Edwards recorded three receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Jordan Thomas led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted two passes.  Ean Shaw added three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his losses resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Walker Wood punted three times for an average of 45.3 yards per kick with a long punt of 57 yards.

Carter Hayslett led Dunbar’s ground game with 49 yards on five carries.  Alex Bard carried the ball nine times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Gavin Bugg completed eight of 22 passes for 142 yards with two interceptions.  Isaiah Yeast led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Tre Homer added five solo tackles.  Dontell Brown intercepted a pass that he returned 23 yards for a touchdown.

While Scott County gave up a lot of yards on special team mistakes, their dominating “ground-and-pound” ground game and efficient passing by QB Josh Davis allowed Scott County to roll over Tates Creek by a score of 47-21.  Scott County’s ground game accounted for a net 485 yards and six touchdowns on 64 carries.  Scott County recorded 30 first downs and 631 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 16 times for 116 yards and lost a fumble.  Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 230 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized five times for 32 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Tates Creek returned six kickoffs for 248 yards.

Brice Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 108 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Caleb Demus carried the ball 11 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns.  Jacob Burton also reached the century mark with 100 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Kendrick Hamilton recorded 97 yards and a touchdown on10 carries.  Josh Davis completed seven of 12 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 36 yards.  Brice Fryman added two receptions for 34 yards and a touchdown.  C. Sheppard added a 46 yard reception.  Cooper Watts led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with three of his losses resulting in losses totaling 20 yards.  Clay Moss added three solo and one assisted tackles.  Berk Watts recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 27 yards.  He also intercepted a pass he returned for 63 yards.  Cooper Robb recovered a fumble.

Dylan Adkins led Tates Creek’s ground game with 28 yards on three carries.  Laron Warner carried the ball 10 times for 23 yards.  Cameron Workman completed nine of 21 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Jackson Beerman caught three passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.  Turner Gentry added two receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Jaden Baird caught a 25 yard touchdown pass.  Dylan Adkins returned one kickoff for 66 yards.  Laron Warner returned four kickoffs for 155 yards with a long return of 75 yards.  Xavier Johnson led the defense with 13 solo and six assisted tackles.  Langston Love added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Dylan Adkins recorded five solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Darryl Bell also recorded five solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Boone County took a 12-7 lead with 5:37 remaining in the first half on a 72 yard run by Corstin Cahill but Lexington Catholic rallied behind the arm of Kirk Fagot and the running of Dameon Jones to earn a 41-18 victory over the visiting Boone County Rebels.  Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 313 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized six times for 64 yards.  Boone County recorded 13 first downs and 341 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized five times for 60 yards and lost a fumble.  Boone County returned six kickoffs for 192 yards and a touchdown.

Dameon Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 86 yards and three touchdowns with three touchdowns.  Kirk Fagot completed 21 of 32 passes for 241 yards and three touchdowns.  Nathan Schnurr caught seven passes for 40 yards.  Ben Buchignani added three receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown.  Dameon Jones caught three passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Rhett Ryan added a 20 yard touchdown reception.  A. Lauterbach led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Jack Fagot added seven solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Dylan Coulter recorded six solo and two assisted tackles with five of his losses resulting in losses totaling 20 yards.
