Belfry utilized their punishing ground game (63 carries for 502 yards and eight touchdowns) to defeat Tates Creek by a score of 55-38.  Belfry recorded 26 first downs and 502 yards of total offense.  The Pirates were penalized twice for 31 yards and lost a fumble.  Tates Creek recorded 15 first downs and 391 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 48 yards and lost a fumble.

Derek Wellman led Belfry’s ground attack with 171 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.  Xondre Willis carried the ball 11 times for 161 yards and three touchdowns.  Andrew Fletcher carried the ball 19 times for 71 yards and two touchdowns.  Cameron Catron carried the ball five times for 59 yards.  Noah Corbett’s only pass attempt was incomplete.  T. Dotson led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Cameron Catron added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Raquan Horton was a force on defense as two of his tackles resulted in losses totaling 12 yards.

Peyton Burke led Tates Creek’s ground game with 13 carries for 47 yards.  Peyton Burke completed 25 of 41 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns.  Jackson Beerman caught nine passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns.  Conner Gibson added six receptions for 26 yards.  Turner Gentry added three receptions for 62 yards.  Jaden Baird added three receptions for 30 yards and two touchdowns.  Elijah Johnson scored on a 69 yard hook-and-ladder play.  Opsal Sakima led the defense with 13 solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Dee Moorman added eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Brody Sellers recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Franklin County defeated Western Hills by a score of 20-7.  Franklin County recorded 16 first downs and 375 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized six times for 75 yards and lost a fumble.  Western Hills recorded eight first downs and 168 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized five times for 87 yards, lost a fumble and had a pass intercepted.

Denzell Vance led Franklin County’s ground game with 82 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Landon Hurst carried the ball nine times for 57 yards.  Barrett Sanderson completed 11 of 16 passes for 165 yards.  Landon Hurst completed both his passes for 65 yards and a touchdown.  DeMarcus Kennedy caught four passes for 116 yards and a touchdown.  Landon Hurst added two receptions for 38 yards.  Ten tackles with four of the tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and a fumble recovery were attributed to the team and not credited to an individual.  Makale Marks added five solo tackles and an interception.  Koreleone Bailey recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Wandel Robinson led Western Hills’ ground game with 50 yards on four carries.  D. Childress carried the ball 15 times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  D. Childress completed seven of 13 passes for 44 yards with one interception.  Trevor James caught two passes for 27 yards.  Twelve tackles with three of the tackles resulting in losses totaling 20 yards and a fumble recovery were attributed to the team and not credited to an individual.  Andrew Hannah added six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  DJ Green recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.

Lafayette rolled up 568 yards of total offense in a 53-13 victory over Mercer County.  Lafayette recorded 24 first downs and 568 yards of total offense averaging 9.6 yards on 59 offensive plays.  The Generals were penalized 11 times for 121 yards and lost a fumble.  Mercer County recorded 10 first downs and 194 yards of total offense.  The Titans were penalized five times for 51 yards and lost a fumble.

M. Silvestri led the Lafayette ground attack with 108 yards on nine carries.  Mason Alstatt carried the ball five times for 68 yards and two touchdowns.  Teandre Newcomb added 42 yards and a touchdown on one carry.  TJ Matrin carried the ball once for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Wood completed 19 of 31 yards for 293 yards and three touchdowns.  Quinten Brown caught 10 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns.  M. Guilfoil added four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Dekwan Edwards added two receptions for 39 yards.  Mason Alstatt scored on a 92 yard kickoff return.  Kyle Browning led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Wes Kirk added five solo and three assisted tackles.

Dustin Baker led Mercer County’s ground game with 26 yards on 11 carries.  Drew Davis carried the ball four times for 20 yards.  Drew Davis completed 10 of 22 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown.  Malik Dow caught three passes for 33 yards.  Aaron Johnson caught a 34 yard touchdown pass.  Dustin Baker punted four times for an average of 50.5 with a long punt of 60 yards.  C. Crawley led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Seth Tatum added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Lexington Catholic led 21-14 at halftime but Ryle rallied with 17 unanswered points in the third quarter on their way to a 31-24 victory.  Ryle recorded 23 first downs and 447 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized seven times for 62 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 486 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 150 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Michael Bateman led Ryle’s ground game with 82 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Collin England carried the ball 15 times for 62 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob Chisolm added 54 yards on seven carries.  Tanner Morgan carried the ball seven times for 47 yards.  Tanner Morgan completed 12 of 28 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Bryce Ashley caught three passes for 37 yards and one touchdown.  Collin England added two receptions for 40 yards.  Grant Beagle caught one pass for 49 yards.  Jake Long caught a 17 yard touchdown pass.  Jacob Chisolm returned four kickoffs for 182 yards with a long return of 74 yards.  Cooper Scherr led the defense with eight solo tackles.  Justin Selby added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Johnny Meiman recorded five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 20 yards.  Logan Rieman intercepted a pass he returned 25 yards.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground attack with 95 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Legend Brumbaugh completed 24 of 38 passes for 381 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  JJ Ogbogu caught nine passes for 183 yards and one touchdown.  Donovan Morris added five receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.  Andy Thompson also caught five passes for 56 yards.  Jaylen Jones added two receptions for 32 yards.  Eric Foster led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Andy Hickey added six solo tackles.  A. St. Xavier dominated for most of the game tonight in a 40-13 victory over Henry Clay.  The state’s leading rusher from last year Henry Clay’s Joquise Buford did not play tonight.  St. Xavier recorded 28 first downs and 560 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized 11 times for 107 yards and lost a fumble.  Henry Clay recorded 19 first downs and 268 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized nine times for 55 yards and lost a fumble.

QB Desmond Ridder who escaped containment in the pocket often tonight led St. Xavier’s ground game with 151 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Chase Rowan carried the ball 10 times for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Sam Taylor added 53 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Desmond Ridder completed 13 of 26 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown.  Colin O’Daniel caught five passes for 56 yards.  Mack Blincoe also caught five passes for 21 yards.  Trey Clements caught a 23 yard touchdown pass.  Ian Kania led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 19 yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Max Willinger added six solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.

Austin Bledsoe led Henry Clay’s ground game with 113 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Marcus Tyler completed 11 of 12 passes for 63 yards.  CJ Tackett completed six of eight passes for 26 yards.  Tyven McWhorter caught seven passes for 38 yards.  Jack Jackson added six receptions for 40 yards.  Davonte Robinson led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Cassius Smith added seven solo tackles.  Johnson-Sanders recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Madison Central’s defense dominated tonight forcing five turnovers and scoring twice on interception returns and once on a fumble recovery in a 47-6 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  Madison Central recorded 10 first downs and 257 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized three times for 10 yards and lost a fumble.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded three first downs and 103 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 48 yards, lost three fumbles and had two passes intercepted.

Johan Williams led Madison Central’s ground game with 65 yards on nine carries.  Korrion Crier carried the ball four times for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Zach Hardin completed 10 of 16 passes for 134 yards and a touchdown.  Jared Grant caught two passes for 76 yards and a touchdown.  Jabari Huguely led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles.  Christian Everly scored on a 31 yard interception return and a 20 yard fumble recovery return.  Tristian Moorehead scored on a 65 yard interception return and Kenton Edwards recovered two fumbles.

Nate Gay led Dunbar’s ground game with 71 yards on 10 carries.  Kendall Roberts completed three of 13 passes for 33 yards with two interceptions.  Nate Gay caught two passes for 21 yards.  DeRante Sanders led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles and scored on a 32 yard fumble recovery return.  Nick Martin added three solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  LaDarrius Morton recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.

Lexington Christian Academy rolled up 645 yards of total offense in a 55-34 victory over Kentucky Country Day.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 24 first downs and 645 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized five times for 35 yards.  Kentucky Country Day recorded 23 first downs and 499 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 30 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Dillon Wheatley led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 231 yards and five touchdowns on 30 carries.  Logan Nieves carried the ball five times for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Brayden Miller completed 10 of 12 passes for 226 yards.  Logan Nieves completed seven of eight passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.  Kyle Paske caught five passes for 167 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Stucky added four receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Drayden Burton caught three passes for 50 yards.  Brett Wilkins led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Clay Elliot added four solo and three assisted tackles.

Jared Frank led Kentucky Country Day’s ground game with 87 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Dexter Walters carried the ball 16 times for 84 yards and a touchdown.  Ashton Robinson recorded 68 yards on 10 carries.  Mitchell Collins carried the ball six times for 51 yards.  Jared Frank completed eight of 20 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Dexter Walters caught a 70 yard touchdown pass.  Mitchell Collins added three receptions for 62 yards.  Josh Lifson added a 20 yard touchdown pass.  Jackson Diaz led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Dexter Walters added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Padraic Dermody recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.

George Rogers Clark raced out to a 20-7 lead but turnovers proved to be the Cardinals’ downfall as Anderson County rallied for a 27-26 victory.  Anderson County recorded 10 first downs and 185 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized five times for 30 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  George Rogers Clark recorded seven first downs and 246 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 50 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.

Ryan Martin led Anderson County’s ground game with 42 yards on 14 carries.  Gunner Gillis completed six of 13 passes for 77 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Brydon Labhart caught three passes for 52 yards.  Tyler Peters added two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Brydon Labhart led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.  Cade Cotton added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Tyler Peters and Blake Franklin scored on interception returns of 55 and 30 yards respectively.  Ian Chilton and Braxton Bostic each recovered a fumble.

Josiah Israel led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 81 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Pierce Nisbet carried the ball 11 times for 49 yards and a touchdown.  Pierce Nisbet completed six of 17 passes for 116 yards with three interceptions.  Josiah Israel caught one pass for 74 yards and James Cornelius added a 33 yard reception.  Ronte Owens scored on a 51 yard punt return.  Brandon Kniry led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Ohmante Jenkins added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Nick Wheeler recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.

Simon Kenton utilized their punishing ground game (502 yards and six touchdowns on 73 carries) to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 52-35.  Simon Kenton took a 17-0 lead and held on for the victory.  Simon Kenton recorded 33 first downs and 557 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized six times for 53 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 25 first downs and 426 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized six times for 61 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Dillion Powell led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 286 yards and three touchdowns on 40 carries.  Cameron Racke carried the ball 17 times for 127 yards and one touchdown.  Dylan Hampton recorded 82 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.  Cameron Racke completed five of 11 passes for 41 yards with two interceptions.  Luke Vance caught three passes for 31 yards.  Dillion Powell added two receptions for 28 yards.  Casey Mitchell led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Taylor Holtkamp added six solo tackles.  Dalton Finnell recorded five solo tackles, recorded a fumble, and intercepted a pass.  Markie Rider scored on a 42 yard interception return.

Andre Davis led Bryan Station’s ground game with 73 yards on 19 carries.  Devon Key carried the ball eight times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.  Andre Davis completed 23 of 44 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  Rafael Few caught 10 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown.  Devon Key added six receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown.  KE-I Carmichael led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles.  Romel Croley also recorded nine solo and one assisted tackles.  Devon Key recorded six solo and six assisted tackles.  Mahari Sturgis and Mikel Horton added seven solo and one assisted tackles each.  Quinten Ford recorded five solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  K-CI Carmichael scored on a 40 yard interception return.

Scott County carried the ball 60 times for 443 yards (7.4 avg) and six touchdowns on their way to a 53-31 victory over Pulaski County tonight.  Scott County recorded 23 first downs and 592 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 71 yards.  Pulaski County recorded 21 first downs and 449 yards of total offense.  The Maroons were penalized five times for 31 yards.

Keith Guy led Scott County’s ground game with 163 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  K. Hamilton carried the ball six times for 105 yards and a touchdown.  Noah Hughes added 98 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  Dylan Hughes added 63 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Josh Davis completed four of six passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.  Jordan Darnell caught a 71 yard touchdown pass.  G. Covington added one reception for 43 yards.  Keith Guy caught a 28 yard touchdown pass.  Tyler Braxton led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Eric Abney added six solo tackles and Jeremiah Happy recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.  Tyler Dummer kicked off nine times with seven touchbacks.
