Ryle rallied from a 28-7 deficit in the third quarter to defeat Henry Clay 34-28 in overtime.  Henry Clay seemed to be in control of the game when QB Darrin Van Horn went out with an injury.  Ryle turned to RB Jacob Chisholm and he was unstoppable the rest of the way.  Chisholm scored on a six yard run and Mason Molique kicked the extra point to tie the score at 28-28 with 1:14 left in regulation.  Ryle won the toss in overtime and chose to play defense.  Henry Clay could not move the ball and a field goal attempt was blocked.  Ryle scored on their first offensive play on a 10 yard run by Kyle England.  Jacob Chisholm was named MVP for Ryle and Ramond Jackson was named MVP for Henry Clay.  Ryle recorded 17 first downs and 371 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized seven times for 55 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Henry Clay recorded 14 first downs and 249 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized twice for 24 yards, lost three fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Jacob Chisholm led Ryle’s ground game with 250 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries.  Kyle England carried the ball eight times for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Easton Pilyer completed four of nine passes for 63 yards.  Matthew Jarman caught one pass for 42 yards.  Jacob Chisholm returned one kickoff for 44 yards.  Justin Selby led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss and recovered two fumbles.  Mason Smith added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Dylan Green recorded four solo and three assisted tackles.  Charlie Golden added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and recovered a fumble.  Caden Mogge intercepted a pass.

Langston Jackson led the Henry Clay ground game with 63 yards on five carries.  Darrin Van Horn carried the ball eight times for 31 yards.  Tyree Clarke recorded 26 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Darrin Van Horn completed eight of 12 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown.  Michael McMullen caught three passes for 21 yards.  Ramond Jackson added two receptions for 39 yards.  Tyree Clarke caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Ramond Jackson returned one punt for 31 yards and returned a kickoff for 66 yards and a touchdown.  Tyree Clarke returned one kickoff for 45 yards.  Tyree Clarke led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Ramond Jackson added eight solo and two assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards and recovered a fumble.  Jordan Kimball recorded eight solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.

Scott County scored a late insurance touchdown to defeat Lafayette 31-21 in the latest installment in what is proving to be an intense rivalry between two of the top teams year in and year out in the area.  Scott County utilized their ground pounding offense to roll up 323 yard and four touchdowns on 49 carries for a robust 6.6 yards per carry.  Scott County recorded 16 first downs and 403 yard of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 119 yards and lost one fumble.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized nine times for 82 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Brice Fryman led Scott County’s ground game with 190 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Austin Barnett carried the ball 18 times for 139 yards and three touchdowns.  Josh Davis completed two of three passes for 80 yards.  Landon Easley caught two passes for 80 yards.  Berk Watts led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Cooper Robb added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Bronson Brown recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards.  Wynston Reibel added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Bryan Hudson recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.

Cameron Morgan led Lafayette’s ground game with 54 yards on 11 carries.  TeAndre Newcomb carried the ball 14 times for 43 yards and a touchdown.  TeAndre Newcomb completed 10 of 17 passes for 93 yards and one touchdown.  Drake Nelson completed four of eight passes for 125 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Matt Guilfoil caught six passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.  Caylon Williams added four receptions for 46 yards.  Dekwan Edwards caught three passes for 43 yards.  Jalen Cooper caught an 88 yard touchdown pass.  D. Fishback returned two kickoffs for 51 yards including a long return of 26 yards.  Jaylen Lawson led the defense with 11 solo and three assisted tackles.  Austin Blake added five solo and three assisted tackles.  Darrell Ugboaja recorded four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 17 yards.  Ean Shaw added four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards and recovered a fumble.

Southwestern rolled up 390 yard of total offense and Dunbar turned the ball over seven times as Southwestern rolled to a 50-0 victory.  Southwestern recorded 14 first downs and 390 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized once for 15 yards.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded five first downs and 118 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized twice for 10 yards, lost three fumbles, and had four passes intercepted.

Patric Edwards led Southwestern’s ground game with 101 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.  Drew Sawyers carried the ball four times for 75 yards.  JP Vaught added 67 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Joe Floyd added 54 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Joe Floyd completed four of eight passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Sawyers caught one pass for 25 yards.  Blake Lanham caught a 17 yard touchdown pass.  Austin Barnes led the defense with six solo and eight assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Christian Bach added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Luke Gregory, Josh Williams, and Justin Vaught each recovered a fumble.  Devin Strunk intercepted two passes including a 16 yard return for a touchdown and Blake Lanham and Kody Blackburn each recorded one interception.

Alex Bard led Dunbar’s ground attack with 24 yards on 11 carries.  Jake Smith carried the ball once on 22 yards.  Tanner Cox completed eight of 14 passes for 54 yards with three interceptions.  Jake Smith completed two of three passes for four yards with one interception.  Darren Edmond, J. Robinson, and Dominique Price each caught two passes for 21, 17, and 11 yards respectively.  J. Robinson returned one kickoff for 40 yards.  Tyler Browning led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Tanner Wiley added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 12 yard loss.  Marcus White also recorded three solo tackles.

Meade County dominated play tonight in a 48-0 victory over the visitors from Lawrenceburg.  Meade County recorded 22 first downs and 423 yards of total offense including 386 yards on 56 carries for a robust 6.9 yards per carry.  They were penalized six times for 84 yards.  Anderson County recorded eight first downs and 107 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 75 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Zach Babb led Meade County’s potent round game with 197 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.  DeShawn Welch carried the ball 14 times for 87 yards.  Collins Jaggers added 45 yards on nine carries.  Trevor Denner carried the ball seven times for 36 yards.  Zane Powers only netted four yards on the ground but scored three touchdowns.  Zane Powers completed two of five passes for 37 yards.  Mitchell Dozier and Brock Wilson each caught one pass for 21 and 16 yards respectively.  James Machado led the defense with four solo tackles.  Bryce Dawson added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and intercepted a pass he returned for 16 yards.  Kobe Nikolao also recorded three solo tackles.  Collin Jaggers recorded two solo tackles which resulted in losses totaling 11 yards.  Dawson Gagel intercepted a pass he returned 13 yards.

Tyler Peters led Anderson County’s ground game with 70 yards on eight carries.  Tyler Peters completed one of six passes for two yards with one interception.  B. Maxberry caught one pass for two yards.  Blake Franklin had one punt return for 30 yards.  Justin Wilhoit led the defense with eight solo and four assisted tackles.  Andrew Lykins added five solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 10 yard loss.  RJ Boies recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 15 yard loss.

Frederick Douglass recorded their first football victory with a 49-22 victory over Tates Creek.  Frederick Douglass recorded 18 first downs and 377 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 58 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 334 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized six times for 49 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Jefferson Harkless led the victors ground attack with 58 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Nate Gay carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards and Montaveon Bean added 27 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Gavin Bugg carried the ball once for a 17 yard TD run.  Montaveon Bean completed 11 of 19 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns.  Gavin Bugg completed two of four passes for 21 yards with one interception.  Dekel Crowdus caught five passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Haiden Hunt added five receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.  Micah Lowe caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Jaylin Bybee led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Dayton LeBlanc added six solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards.  Xavier Fogle recovered a fumble and D. Christopher intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.  Haiden Hunt returned three kickoffs for 112 yards with a long return of 76 yards.

Simon Kenton rolled up 549 yards of total offense in a 49-27 victory over Bryan Station.  The Pioneers offensive onslaught was led by QB Matt Shearer who passed for 180 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 57 yards and another score and Austin Hammack who ran for 234 yards and two touchdowns.  Bryan Station’s Jalen Burbage put up big numbers with 252 yards and two touchdowns through the air and another 96 yards and a touchdown on the ground.  Simon Kenton recorded 31 first downs and 549 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized twice for 30 yards and lost two fumbles.  Bryan Station recorded 15 first downs and 343 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized four times for 26 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Austin Hammack led Simon Kenton’s ground attack with 234 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Matt Shearer carried the ball 11 times for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Matt Shearer completed 17 of 23 passes for 180 yards and four touchdowns.  Sam Murray caught five passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.  Fisher Hayden added four receptions for 52 yards and two touchdowns.  Eli Lucas caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown.  Clay Cogswell led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Will Parks added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Justin Sabie intercepted a pass.

Jalen Burbage led Bryan Station’s ground game with 96 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Jalen Burbage completed 20 of 36 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Terrance Clayton-Murphy caught eight passes for 126 yards and a touchdown.  Shemar Ritch added four receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Chris Jones also caught four passes for 32 yards.  Chris Jones returned four kickoffs for 86 yards with a long return of 46 yards.  C. McKinley led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with two of his receptions resulting in losses totaling five yards.  W. Mitchell added six solo tackles.  Isaiah Greene recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  C. Benton added three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and recovered a fumble he returned 20 yards.

Woodford County took an early 7-0 lead but they were buried by Madison Central after that score as the Indians scored 53 unanswered points to earn a 53-7 road victory.  Woodford County was held to a net 44 yards rushing on 35 carries for a 1.3 yards per carry.  Madison Central recorded 10 first downs and 309 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 63 yards and lost two fumbles.  Woodford County recorded 12 first downs and 148 yards of total offense.  The Yellow Jackets were penalized six times for 65 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Antwuan Warford led Madison Central’s ground game with 69 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Blake Grubb carried the ball twice for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Gavin Hulberg added 41 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Derrick Miller completed five of eight passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns.  Ethan Hahn caught three passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns.  Kolby Jackson led the defense with three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Denton Witt added six solo and two assisted tackles.  Jackson Juett recorded two solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  Levi Gaskins added three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Jeremy Cox also recovered a fumble and Deion Cox intercepted a pass.  Julius Dray scored on a 31yard blocked punt return.

Ben Nash led Woodford County’s ground game with 52 yards on 14 carries.  Quinton Turner completed 12 of 23 passes for 104 yards with one interception.  Ryan Duke caught three passes for 33 yards.  Lee Kain also caught three passes for 23 yards.  Ben Nash added two receptions for 26 yards.  JayShaun Coffman led the defense with two solo and four assisted tackles with two of his losses resulting in losses totaling four yards and recovered a fumble.  Brennan Clark added two solo and three assisted tackles.  Dawson Switzer also recovered a fumble.

Lexington Christian Academy defeated Waggener by a score of 40-14.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 27 first downs and 405 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized three times for 25 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Waggener recorded 13 first downs and 299 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 80 yards and lost a fumble.

Logan Nieves led LCA’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Wade Drake carried the ball six times for 65 yards and a touchdown.  Dillon Wheatley recorded 49 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Logan Nieves completed 14 of 21 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Wade Drake caught five passes for 58 yards.  Caelen Lebryk added two receptions for 48 yards.  Drayden Burton added four receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Josh McClurg led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Will McClurg added two solo and four assisted tackles.  Drayden Burton scored on a 57 yard fumble recovery return.  Drayden Burton returned three kickoffs for 61 yards.

Lexington Catholic rolled up 508 yards on offense in a 34-24 victory over Madison Central.  Lexington Catholic recorded 21 first downs and 508 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 11 times for 107 yards and lost two fumbles.  Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 253 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 13 times for 114 yards.

Dameon Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 97 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.  Dylan Coulter carried the ball five times for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Beau Allen completed 20 of 39 passes for 381 yards and three touchdowns.  Nathan Schnurr caught five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Carson Brownell added four receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.  Gavin Cameron caught four passes for 76 yards.  Tommy Knopp added three receptions for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Dameon Jones and Lincoln Justice each caught two passes for 58 and 41 yards respectively.  Nathan Schnurr returned four kickoffs for 88 yards including a return of 36 yards.  Kevin Brown led the defense with 11 solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Brennan Emmett added two solo and five assisted tackles.  Keith Brinkman recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.

Gavin Hulberg led Madison Central’s ground attack with 74 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Anwaun Warford carried the ball four times for 56 yards.  Freddie Chenault added 34 yards on 10 carries.  Derrick Miller completed three of 15 passes for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Ethan Hahn caught two passes for 60 yards and a touchdown.  Anwaun Warford returned one kickoff for 68 yards.  Ben Snapp led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble he returned for 15 yards.  Denton Witt added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 23 yard loss.  Kenton Humphrey recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.  Daniel Baker added four solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss and recovered a fumble.
