George Rogers Clark eked out a 65-64 victory over Mercy Academy in a game that had more plot twists and turns than a good mystery novel.  Mercy Academy took a 27-21 halftime lead and Hayley Harrison had zero points at halftime for GRC.  George Rogers Clark outscored Mercy Academy 25-14 in the third quarter to take a 46-41 lead after three quarters.  GRC took a seven point lead midway though the final quarter but their primary ball handler Kennedy Igo fouled out with 3:08 remaining in the game allowing Mercy to get back in the game.  Mercy Academy had a last second chance for the win but Hope Sivori’s shot missed allowing the Cardinals to escape with the victory.  The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game.

George Rogers Clark shot 38.15 from the field including six of 25 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 17 Mercy Academy turnovers.  Mercy Academy shot 41.2% from the field including 11 of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Jaguars connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 18 GRC turnovers.
