Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Kole Browne, 6-1 So. Braeden Ray, 6-8 Sr. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Deion Cox, and 5-10 Sr. Quae. Charlton. Madison Southern Austin Newton countered with 6-1 Sr. Josh Reynolds, 6-1 Jr. Chad Fugate, 6-4 Jr. Trent Moberly, 5-6 Jr. Britten Robinson, and 5-11 Jr. Hunter Buchanan.
Madison Central raced out to a 15-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 72-45 victory over Madison Southern. Madison Central shot a sizzling 65% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Indians connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 30% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Madison Central turnovers.
Isaiah Cozart led Madison Central with 19 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots. Kole Browne added 18 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds. Quae. Charlton recorded 16 points including three three point baskets, nine rebounds, and five assists. Deion Cox chipped in with eight points and seven assists. 6-4 Sr. Preston Roberts added seven points, four rebounds, and five assists.
Britten Robinson led Madison Southern with 15 points including five of seven free throws. 6-0 Jr. Samuel Lee added 11 points.
