Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-1 Sr. Keaston Brown, 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 5-9 Sr. Ramond Jackson, and 5-10 Sr. Scott Hersey. Scott County coach Billy Hicks countered with 6-1 Sr. Bryce Long, 6-0 Sr. Lorenzo Williams, 6-7 Sr. Michael Moreno, 5-9 Sr. Diablo Stewart, and 6-0 Sr. Glenn Covington.
Henry Clay recorded an upset in a 78-71 victory over Scott County and avenged two regular season losses to the Cardinals. Henry Clay shot 46% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 26 of 34 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 41.9% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 13 of 22 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers.
Keaston Brown led Henry Clay with 16 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists. 6-1 Jr. Marquis Mackey also scored 16 points including two three point baskets. Ramond Jackson recorded 13 points including nine of 11 free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Harris Hawkins added 12 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Marques Warrick chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.
6-5 Jr. Terrin Hamilton led Scott County with 15 points and four rebounds. Lorenzo Williams added 12 points including seven of 10 free throws and eight rebounds. Diablo Stewart chipped in with nine points. Michael Moreno recorded eight points, six rebounds, and three assists. Bryce Long and Glenn Covington also scored eight points each.
