Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Lauren Thomas, 5-9 Fr. Amiya Jenkins, 5-10 Fr. Kennedy Williams, 5-0 Jr. Taviona Sanford, and 5-7 Sr. Kiya Thompson.  Menifee County coach Paul Ricker countered with 6-2 Sr. Emma Hacker, 5-6 So. Erin Cornett, 6-1 So. Kelsey Woodard, 5-4 Jr. Kelsey Evans, and 5-5 Sr. Alison Johnson.

 

Menifee County led 33-19 early in the third quarter but had to withstand a Henry Clay rally to earn a 58-57 victory.  Menifee County shot 54.5% from the field including two of eight from the three point line.  The Lady Cats connected on 20 of 24 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 41.8% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Menifee County turnovers.

 

Emma Hacker led Menifee County with 35 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Hacker was 11 of 14 free throws including one of two from beyond the arc, and 12 of 14 free throws.  Kelsey Woodard added 12 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. 

 

5-2 Fr. Maddie Kaufman led Henry Clay with 14 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Kiya Thompson added 14 points and two steals.  Amiya Jenkins recorded 13 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.
