Jacksonville State coach Ray Harper started the following lineup: 6-7 Sr. Jason Burnell, 6-3 Sr. Jamall Gregory, 6-7 Sr. Christian Cunningham, 6-1 Jr. Ty Hudson, and 6-3 Sr. Marlon Hunter.  Eastern Kentucky University coach A.W. Hamilton countered with 6-8 Fr. Tre King, 6-4 Fr. Houston King, 6-9 Sr. Nick Mayo, 5-10 Jr. Dujuanta Weaver, and 6-2 Jr. Kelvin Robinson.

Eastern Kentucky University defeated Jacksonville State by a score of 88-70.  Eastern Kentucky shot 49.2% from the field including nine of 22 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Jacksonville State University.  Jacksonville State shot 40% from the field including four of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Gamecocks connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Kelvin Robinson added 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Dujuanta Weaver recorded 14 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and three steals.  Tre King added 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Jamall Gregory led Jacksonville State with 15 points, three rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Ty Hudson added 14 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and three assists.  6-8 Jr. Jacarra Cross recorded 13 points and six rebounds.  Marlon Hunter chipped in with 10 points.  Jason Burnell added nine points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.  Christian Cunningham recorded six points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.
