 Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Scott Chalk started the following lineup: 6-3 Jr. Michael Corio, 6-2 Jr. Jared Gadd, 5-8 Sr. JaQuon Gray, 5-10 Sr. JaQuice Gray, and 6-2 Jr. Michael Allen.  Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-9 So. Ray Suratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 5-11 Sr. Fousseyni Diallo.

 

Paul Laurence Dunbar led 25-11 in the second quarter but Lafayette rallied to grind out a 47-40 victory over the Bulldogs.  The third quarter was the downfall for Dunbar as they were outscored 17-4 during that period.  Lafayette shot 40% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 32% from the field including three of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on five of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Cameron King led Lafayette with 13 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  6-2 Sr. Devontae Hayes added 11 points and six rebounds.  Ray Suratt recorded nine points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Evan Dreux chipped in with six points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.

 

JaQuice Gray led Dunbar with 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Isaiah Allen added eight points and two steals.  6-4 Sr. Tre Homer recorded seven points, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Michael Corio also scored seven points.  Jared Gadd pulled down eight rebounds.
