Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Sr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Max Sparkman, 6-0 Sr. Keegan Bailey, and 6-1 Fr. Ben Johnson. Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-9 So. Ray Suratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 5-11 Sr, Fousseyni Diallo.
Lafayette defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 68-58. There were three ties and three lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 45.8% from the field including 12 of 24 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 46.8% from the field including seven of 14 from beyond the arc. The Knights connected on seven of seven free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored seven points off 10 Lafayette turnovers.
Eric Powell led Lafayette with 18 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds. Cameron King added 15 points on five three point baskets, three rebounds, and three steals. Evan Dreux recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds. 6-2 Jr. TeAndre Newcomb chipped in with eight points. Fousseyni Diallo recorded seven points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 20 points and eight rebounds. Keegan Bailey added 12 points on four three point baskets. Ben Johnson recorded eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists. Max Sparkman chipped in with six points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. TC Price added six points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
