Mercer County coach Chris Souder started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Emma Davis, 5-10 Sr. Faith Lake, 6-2 Sr. Emma Souder, 5-8 Sr. Lexy Lake, and 5-9 Sr. Seygan Robbins.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-11 Sr. Grace Berger, 5-7 Sr. Kia Sivils, 6-0 So. Kristen Clemons, 5-6 Jr. Ashlee Harris, and 5-7 Sr. Kiki Samsel.

 

Sacred Heart Academy came out blazing hot today and totally dominated Mercer County by a score of 83-48 to avenge an earlier loss.  Mercer County was playing their fourth game in three days and could never get their offense untracked tonight.  Sacred Heart Academy shot 58.2% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 18 Mercer County turnovers.  Mercer County shot 30.2% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Titans connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off 12 Sacred Heart Academy turnovers.

 

Grace Berger led Sacred Heart Academy with 23 points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Kristen Clemons added 16 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Kiki Samsel recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and six assists.  5-5 So. Erin Toller chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.  Ashlee Harris also scored eight points.

 

Seygan Robbins led Mercer County with 13 points and six rebounds.  Emma Souder added 11 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-7 Jr. Toni McCombs recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.
