Scott county coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Peyton Riddle, 5-10 Jr. Maaliya Owens, 5-10 Sr. Zakiyia Holt, 5-5 Jr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 So. Morgan DeFoor.  Franklin County coach Joey Thacker countered with 5-8 Jr. Samareah Levarity, 5-5 Sr. Emily Jordan, 5-10 8th Grade Patience Laster, 5-3 8th Grade Nevaeh Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Kindall Talley.

 

Scott County defeated Franklin County by a score of 78-56.  Scott County shot 43.3% from the field including 10 of 23 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 13 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 30.9% from the field including five of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Flyers connected on 17 of 30 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

 

Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 31 points including six three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Morgan DeFoor added 19 points including two three point baskets.  Peyton Riddle recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Juliette Smith chipped in with six points, five assists, and four steals.

 

Kindall Talley led Franklin County with 14 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, and six rebounds.  5-6 So. Jasmine Simpson added nine points.  Patience Laster recorded six points and eight rebounds.  5-8 Sr. Josie Thacker chipped in with six points on two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Nevaeh Carter and Emily Jordan also scored six points each.
