Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Abby Wright, 5-11 Fr. Bria Bass, 6-0 So. Tae’Lour Richardson, 5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon.  Tennessee Tech coach Kim Rosamond 5-11 Sr. Yaktavia Hickson, 5-7 Fr. Kesha Brady, 6-3 Fr. MacKenzie Coleman, 5-7 Fr. Jordan Brock, and 5-7 So. Akia Harris.

 

Eastern Kentucky led 56-36 after three quarters and withstood a late Tennessee Tech rally to earn a 76-68 victory.  Eastern Kentucky shot 46.4% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 18 of 24 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 29 points off 19 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 46.2% from the field including seven of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points including four three point baskets and six rebounds.  A’Queen Hayes added 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  6-0 Jr. Joya Smith recorded eight points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots.

 

Akia Harris led Tennessee Tech with 22 points including five three point baskets, three assists, and three steals.  Jordan Brock added 13 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  MacKenzie Coleman recorded 11 points and seven rebounds.  Yaktavia Hickson also reached double figures with 10 points.
