Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Maddy Bullen, 5-5 Sr. Hope Kelly, 6-0 Fr. Mackenzie Himes, 5-1 Sr. Jayna Albright, and 5-4 Sr. Mahala Saylor. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell.
Rockcastle County defeated Wayne County by a score of 53-47. Rockcastle County shot 35% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line. The Lady Rockets connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored eight points off 16 Wayne County turnovers. Wayne County shot 36% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and did not score off seven Rockcastle County turnovers.
Hope Kelly led Rockcastle County with 25 points including five three point baskets and six rebounds. Mackenzie Himes added eight points and seven rebounds.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 21 points and seven rebounds. Macey Blevins added 11 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds. Megan Burchett recorded eight points and seven rebounds.
