Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Lindi DeBilzan, 5-9 Jr. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Sr. Kiara Pankins, 5-3 Jr. Terri Abram, and 5-10 So. Macey Goff. Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford countered with 5-8 Jr. Braxton Price, 5-8 Jr. Cheyenne Jones, 5-11 Jr. Tyronica Carpenter, 5-7 So. Kiya Thompson, and 5-8 Sr. Lexi Long.
The score was tied 31-31 after three quarters but Lafayette rallied to earn a 46-38 victory over Henry Clay. The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 37.1% from the field including two of seven from the three point line. Lafayette shot 19 less shots (54-35) from the field than Henry Clay. The Lady Generals connected on 18 of 30 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored nine points off 12 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 27.8% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on five of 15 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 21 Lafayette turnovers.
Lindi DeBilzan led Lafayette with 17 points including eight of 10 free throws and three steals. Kiara Pankins added 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six blocked shots.
Lexi Long led Henry Clay with nine points. 5-3 So. Christian Gatewood added seven points. Cheyenne Jones recorded six points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.
