Scott County coach Billy Hicks started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Michael Moreno, 6-2 Jr. Cooper Robb, 6-4 Sr. Cooper Watts, 6-0 So. Lorenzo Williams, and 6-1 So. Bryce Long. Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine countered with 6-6 Jr. Austin Hall, 6-6 So. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Carter Hendricksen, 6-2 Isiah Hunt, and 6-2 Sr. Nathan Harper.
Scott County pulled away in the second half to defeat Lexington Christian Academy by a score of 79-63. Scott County shot 44.45 from the field including five of 21 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 26 of 30 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 16 LCA turnovers. The Eagles connected on 13 of 20 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 18 Scott County turnovers. Scott County held a 13-2 advantage in second chance points.
Michael Moreno led Scott County with 32 points including three three point baskets, 16 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Cooper Robb added 14 points, seven rebounds, and five steals. Bryce Long chipped in with 13 points. 5-8 So. Cam Fluker added 11 points.
Kyle Rode led LCA with 14 points and nine rebounds. Isiah Hunt and Austin Hall each scored 13 points. 6-0 Jr. Chandler Stewart added 11 points. Austin Hall and Chandler Stewart connected on three and two three point baskets respectively.
