Elizabethtown coach Donnie Swiney started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Jada Stinson, 5-7 Sr. Kendall Pack, 5-9 Sr. Taylor Thomas, 5-3 Jr. Tanasia Murphy, and 5-3 Jr. Karson Knight. Nelson County coach Kelly Wood countered with 5-9 Sr. Kira Harman, 5-6 Sr. LeLe Linton, 5-9 So. Kyona Hamilton, 5-4 Sr. Shyla Calbert, and 5-4 Jr. Marly Walls.
Elizabethtown held a 32-20 lead in the second quarter but Nelson County rallied for a 62-60 victory. Nelson County shot 40.4% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. They connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Elizabethtown turnovers. Elizabethtown shot 41.2% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. The Panthers connected on 11 of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Nelson County turnovers.
Marly Walls led Nelson county with 17 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals. Shyla Calbert added 14 points including two three point baskets. LeLe Linton recorded 13 points. Kira Harman chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds.
Jada Stinson led Elizabethtown with 17 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three steals. Taylor Thomas added 16 points. Karson Knight chipped in with 10 points and four assists. 5- Fr. Whitney Hay added nine points on three three point baskets and four rebounds. Kendall Pack pulled down 11 rebounds.
