Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. started the following lineup: 6-6 So. Blake Muntz, 6-2 Jr. Dustin Geralds, 6-7 So. Isaiah Cozart, 5-10 Sr. Isaiah Minter, and 6-1 Sr. Michael Roberts. Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III countered with 6-0 Sr. Cameron Greenup, 6-0 Sr. Shawn Catlett, 6-2 Fr. Jackson Phillips, 5-10 So. Evan Dreux, and 5-10 Jr. Eric Powell.
Madison Central led 46-44 after three quarters but Lafayette rallied for a 63-52 victory. The score was tied five times and there were seven lead changes in the game. Lafayette shot 36.5% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Generals connected on 19 of 31 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 21 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 47.6% from the field including four of 10 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on eight of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.
5-10 Sr. Jajuante Carpenter led Lafayette with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Evan Dreux added 13 points and four rebounds. Cameron Greenup recorded nine points.
Blake Muntz led Madison Central with 12 points and seven rebounds. Dustin Geralds added 11 points and nine rebounds. Isaiah Cozart recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and seven blocked shots.
