Madison Southern coach Summer Simmons started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Marley Lawson, 5-10 Sr. Conner Coyle, 6-1 Sr. Savannah Fallis, 5-6 Sr. Desarae Linville, and 5-8 Sr. Keri Thorn. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 Jr. Peyton Riddle, 5-9 So. Maaliya Owens, 6-0 Sr. Lauren Boehm, 5-6 Fr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-9 Sr. Kadee Hudson.
Scott County raced out to a 29-13 first quarter lead on their way to an 87-57 victory over Madison Southern. Scott County shot 48.7% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 42 points off 28 Madison Southern turnovers. Madison Southern shot 36.7% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady eagles connected on 15 of 28 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.
Maaliya Owens led Scott County with 23 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three steals. Morgan DeFoor added 21 points, four rebounds, four assists, and eight steals. Peyton Riddle recorded 11 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Lauren Boehm chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds.
Savannah Fallis led Madison Southern with 17 points including two three point baskets and six rebounds. 5-3 8th Grade Sam Cornelison added 14 points including two three point baskets. Conner Coyle recorded nine points and eight rebounds.
