Lafayette rallied from a 16-6 deficit late in the second quarter to defeat Scott County by a score of 36-30.  Lafayette recorded 20 first downs and 494 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized seven times for 74 yards and lost two fumbles.  Scott County recorded 25 first downs and 341 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized twice for 15 yards. 

Mason Alstatt led Lafayette’s ground attack with 156 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball 20 times for 127 yards and two touchdowns.  Walker Wood completed 14 of 21 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown.  Quinten Brown caught five passes for 57 yards.  Dekwan Edwards added two receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.  Daquis Sharp caught one pass for 60 yards.  Cameron Morgan led the defense with nine solo tackles with six of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards.  Ean Shaw added five solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Branden Layne recorded four solo and four assisted tackles.

Noah Hughes led Scott County’s ground game with 177 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries.  Keith Guy carried the ball 13 times for 93 yards.  Dylan Smith added 54 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Josh Davis completed three of four passes for 33 yards.  Glenn Covington caught two passes for 17 yards.  Dylan Smith caught one pass for 16 yards.  Tyler Braxton led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Eric Abney added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Keeshon Brent recorded four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Bryce Fryman and Jeremiah Happy each recovered a fumble.
