Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Tereka Guyn, 5-6 Sr. Rachel Young, 6-0 Sr. Iman Guy, 5-7 Sr. Danielle DeFoor, and 5-6 Sr. Audriana Christopher. (Note: Christopher could only log 3:43 minutes tonight due to a recurring injury).  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 6-0 Sr. Sarah Cooley, 5-11 Jr. Dee Givens, 6-4 Jr. Ashanti Thomas, 5-8Sr. Ken’yale Demus, and 5-11 Fr. Kiara Pankins.

Lafayette raced out to a 23-10 first quarter lead on their way to a 70-51 victory over Scott County.  Lafayette shot 42.9% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 25 of 43 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 20 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 39.2% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored nine points off eight Lafayette turnovers.

Dee Givens led Lafayette with 26 points, five rebounds, and seven steals.  Kiara Pankins added 16 points on 16 of 18 free throws.  Ke’yale Demus chipped in with 10 points.  Sarah Cooley and Ashanti Thomas each pulled down nine rebounds.

Danielle DeFoor led Scott County with 14 points and seven rebounds.  Tereka Guyn added 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.  Rachel Young recorded 10 points and six assists.  Iman Guy pulled down seven rebounds.
