West Jessamine vs. Mercer County

West Jessamine coach Damon Kelley started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Daulton Peters, 6-0 Sr. Will Henderson, 6-4 Jr. Brooks Ely, 5-10 Sr. Landon Adkins, and 5-10 Sr. Lane Brooks.  Mercer County coach Brian Britt countered with 6-1 Sr. Chris Crawley-Goodman, 5-11 Sr. Tommy Craig, 6-4 So. Will Hager, 6-0 8th grader Trevor Faulkner, and 6-0 Sr. Russell Sims.

Mercer County led 29-12 in the second quarter and 32-24 at halftime but West Jessamine rallied for a 73-64 victory.  There were seven lead changes and eight ties in the game.  West Jessamine shot 39.2% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Colts connected on 28 of 35 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 20 Mercer County turnovers.  Mercer County shot 48.1% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Titans connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off nine West Jessamine turnovers.

Daulton Peters led West Jessamine with 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Brooks Ely added 17 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Will Henderson recorded 16 points and Landon Adkins chipped in with 12 points.

Will Hager led Mercer County with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Russell Sims added 14 points, nine rebounds, and three steals.  Tommy Craig recorded nine points and six rebounds and Trevor Faulkner also scored nine points.
