The 7-ply set is different from our other sets in that it contains a carbon steel core between the stainless steel layers, and this is the only reason it is more expensive than the other sets. This set is perfect for any type of stove, and this includes induction cook stoves.

The set is constructed of 7 plies, and comes with a total of 17 pieces which include the lids and egg poaching cups.

Just like our other sets, the KT17ULTRA spreads the heat very quickly and very evenly. The steam control valve makes waterless cooking easy for you because it lets you know when to turn the temperature down.

Another important thing about waterless cookware is that waterless cooking is much healthier because it eliminates the need for grease or oil in cooking.
You'll retain 98% of the vitamins and nutrients in your food as opposed to a 58% retention when boiling your food in water using regular cookware.

Stack Cooking The construction of the KT17ULTRA waterless cookware set will allow you to stack cook. You might cook a roast or chicken with potatoes and carrots in the stock pot on the bottom, a vegetable in the middle pan, and yet another vegetable in the top pan. When you're stack cooking with any waterless set, remember to always start cooking each individual pan on a burner until you hear the steam valve whistle. After hearing the steam release valve whistle, you should close the valve and stack the pots to finish cooking. With a direct contact, the heat is transferred from the bottom pan to the top.

Baking on your Stovetop
With this set of waterless cookware you will be baking without turning your oven on. Bake a ham, a whole chicken, turkeys, and even bake a cake right on top of your stove. All meats are so much tastier and juicy when you bake them with surgical stainless steel waterless cookware. Instructions for doing this and more will be sent with your cookware set.

Double Boiler Unit
The double boiler unit has a capsule bottom so that it can be placed directly on your stove-top as a heating utensil when it is not being utilized as a Double Boiler Unit. This pot is not made to be used as a waterless utensil.

Weight
Please be advised that this set is constructed of both carbon steel and 304 surgical stainless steel and is heavier than regular cookware constructed of other materials. The total weight of the KT17ULTRA, 7-ply set is 37 pounds.

Handles
The handles are constructed of a heat-resistant phenolic resin, and are superbly styled to fit the hand in a way that allows the pot to be balanced perfectly when filled with food. The handles are resistant to cold, heat and detergents. The handles were tested for durability in ovens up to 350 degrees, however, the manufacturer does not recommend placing the pots in an oven as they were made to be used on a stove-top. After all, why would want to turn your oven on when you can bake your food in this cookware right on top of your stove?
Each handle is molded with a very large eyelet that will permit hanging the utensils. For convenient storage simply invert the cover, nest it in the proper pan and hang or stack your cookware. Click Here to view the features of the handles (scroll down after entering site).

This set is suitable for ceramic, electric, and gas stoves.
NOTE: The Handles are tested up to 350 degrees and can be used
on a gas stove, but they should not be used with extremely high
temperatures when using an open flame. An open flame on a gas
stove 'can' reach up to 608°F.
