SURF SYNOPSIS:
Today (Sunday) our latest NW swell is backing down, but there are
plenty of waves to be had.
In SoCal west facing breaks have been seeing chest to shoulder high
sets, still head high at times at the standout west facing breaks.
SD is seeing the brunt of the remaining energy, hitting over head to DOH at times at
the better-exposed west facing breaks.

What I say:
Surfed Simmons again this morning. Geoff McCoy and I were out by ourselves.
Above photo is NOT La Jolla - but the wave size was about
the same as in the photo.
Greenboard was not out today, nor did the 3 - "What the Hell are you - YES YOU - doing out here?" guys make another attempt at conquering the LJ Reef.
I think yesterday was enough of a lesson for them, for at least the rest of this Simmons Season
Geoff's a real waterman - he surfs great, and he also one the best free divers in San Diego.
Geoff has a great sense of history, and has told me some great stories about Jack Prodonovich - probably one of the best free divers of all time. Jack was also the inventor of the Prodonovich Spear Gun - world famous!
Jack is also the dad of Robin Prodonovich - a good friend of mine, and one of the top board shapers in California.
I caught about 6 great waves, and made it in and out without incident - unlike my usual performances at the Hospitals arena.
