"It's
a good thing you brought it up. ..."
Im not
oblivious to sexs overwhelming bombardment in this nations culture, society,
and media. We are all sexual beings. Talking about sex is difficult, which is why it's a
good thing you brought it up.
I
think sex is now a worldly and sensationalistic aspect of life in this nation or
culture. The philosophical perspective toward sex and love seem to harmonize okay within
the context of religion. However, the statistics on sex from a sociological perspective is
a hard pill to swallow, and doesn't digest well with God's plans -- there's a high rate of
teen pregnancies, premarital sex, and others. In my eyes, sex is glamorized in this
culture nowadays, and its original purpose demeaned due to a liberal pop culture.
Now, Im
going to preach. Hehe. I'm addressing the audience of The Word because this
subject is so interesting. I feel like I should exercise my thoughts on this subject if I
ever want to address the youth in our area as well.
Sex is
sacred. Have we forgotten that? Are we oblivious of this? Are we not being taught this
anymore?
You guys
should also have an issue about relationships because this would put the topic of sex back
into the context of love, since sex should really stem from love. Maybe you guys already have and I just did not read up
on it.
Other
possible thought-provoking topics that are related could be the following: What Is
Love? Why Do We Confuse Sex With
Love? Do we have sex to get love, or
are we taking the time to understand what is real love in order to understand the true
purpose of sex? How 'bout that? Heheh.
To me, and Im
sure in the eyes of God, sex is one of the ultimate expressions of love, not just the
means of pro-creation, between a married couple. But in the world, sex has been exploited
by the evil one to enslave, tempt, trap, and deviate people from God.
We have to
make a bold effort to educate the young, especially our young Christian bros and sis',
that sex out of the context of God is a form of a false God, and is selfish (selfishness,
greed, materialism are forms of false-Gods and idolatry). Does that make sense? If we can
come to this realization, then I feel it will strengthen us to stand against Satans
exploits with sex.
Hmm. What do
you think? Hehe. ...
