What do you think of the mixed messages people and the media around you say about sex and abstinence? Is this confusing? Is there anything you would have wished you'd known about sex when you were younger?*

i
feel that the messages sent to us by the media is not confusing... obviously what the
president says is serious... but on television... that fake... it'snot really up to tv or
what other people say... it all depends on what you decide... ya know? my peers and i get
most of our information about sex from each other... and from experiences... we know what
is safe and what isn't... we are not totally naive... i feel most comfortable talkin to my
friends about sex... like jokingly and seriously... we all can relate to each other's
fears and curiosity... there's no need to feel inferior or like you are being talked down
to or taught. ...
i think that the best way to
educate young people about sex... is through education... and sending positive messages
through the media... messages that young people can relate to... kids can relate to the
kids they see on tv... abstinence education is not enough... parents need to push
abstinence and friends should seek abstinence too... after all, it's not only the parents
that raise a child... the whole community does. ...
there really isn't anything i
wish i knew when i was younger... maybe just to realize at a younger age that my virginity
is the greatest gift... and i shouldn't just give it away to anyone... but i know that
now... and that is why i am 19 years old... and still a virgin.
sex is a serious thing... it's
more that just... "sex".... it's the act of making love... and the main purpose
of having sex/making love... is the union of two people... that truly do love each
other... a bond that can be broken, but one that should never be broken... but if you do
decide to have sex... just be protected... don't be stupid... having sex is big risk...
both physically and emotionally... so be careful.
i hope this helped out. ...
THEY SAID
"if you do decide to have
sex... just be protected. ..."
