Physics and Safety of Roller Coasters

Lots of people have doubts about roller coasters being safe. They hear about people dying on them, so they seem to think they are unsafe even though they are usually rumors. People have died on them, but it is not very often. According to physics, they are quite safe as long as they follow directions for that particular roller coaster. If it is a sit down roller coaster, then you should remain seated for the entire ride, or it could be unsafe. The designers make the coasters feel dangerous, but they are really safe. Forces keep their rider in the coaster in an inversion, and it is safe. As long as you do not do anything unusual in the roller coaster, then you are most likely safe.
