The History of Roller Coasters

Roller Coasters began in Russia at the end of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century. They began because Russians loved ice sliding. A Frenchman seemed to be amazed by ice sliding when he visited Russia and watched it. He wanted to develop something like it, so he made the roller coaster. People liked the thrill and they even paid money for it. That is why theme parks are so popular. Since the French man invented the basic design of the roller coaster, many people have made improvements on them. Now many people enjoy roller coasters because of their excitement and thrill.
