Pattern: Gold Riach from Frodin, Mikael, Classic Salmon Flies, 1991

Hook: Partridge M size 3/0

Thread: Black

Tag: Orange Uni-Yarn

Rib: From different starting points under the hook shank: Narrow Flat Silver Tinsel followed by Flat Gold Tinsel Palmered in Reverse; Counterwound with Small Oval Silver Tinsel

Body: Black Uni-Yarn

Hackle: Cock like feathers, Tan in Color, Wound from Root of 1/2 Stripped Feather Crossing over Tinseled Body

Throat: 2-3 Turns of Teal Tied in at Tip of Teal Feather and Swept Over Body of Fly

Wing: Two 1/4" Natural Mallard strips Tied in Separately with Reverse Insertion of Opposite Strip after Initial Strip Insertion

Head: Black
