Black Prince was tied by Contributing Fly Tyer William Lovelace.   See Bill's notes below, but also read more about him, and see many more of his flies at The Flies of William Lovelace.

Bill's Notes: This is a traditional Kiwi Matuku pattern except it is tied on a hook for steelhead instead of a traditional down eye trout hook. This pattern without the red wool tag is called the All Black. The matuku is a New Zealand tying style named after the Matuku bird (a Maori name for the Bittern). Its feather was tied down on top of the body by ribbing in the original pattern that started this popular fly style now called the Matuka in the US.
