Red Spade Variation comes from the bench of Salmonfly.Net Contributing Fly Tyer William Lovelace.  

Bill's notes: Northwest legend Alec Jackson has fancied up the Spade with his flashier well known versions of Arnold’s original. He is noted for producing many colorful variations of Ostrich full bodied Spades with the most well known being the all purple Whaka Blonde. It takes a very nice quality herl to produce the bodies."
