Tied by Per Hansen

Dueholm Fly

Name

Dueholm Fly

Category Seatrout
Tail Topping from Lady Amherst Pheasant
Body 6 Peacock strands
Rib Double yellow silk
Wing White cock feathers, back to back
Hackle Brown cock

Tanglopper was tied by Danish fly tyer Per Hansen. He tied this popular pattern for Denmark's River Karup, widely know for its excellent Seatrout fishing.  You can see more of his flies at The Flies of Per Hansen.

Per's Notes: This fly should be in everyone's box when fishing the river Karup. The wing gives a very good contrast to the dark body when the sun is going down. The patter was originated by Poul Friis in 1963.
