Black Demon A Bob Frandsen Fly
Black Demon was tied by Australian Fly Tyer, Bob Frandsen. This fly is a variation of the Golden Demon which was originated in England in the 1920's. The Golden Demon, Silver Demon, and Black Demon all have the distinctive orange throat. These flies eventually made their way to the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada where they were used for Salmon and Steelhead, then to the East Coast. You can see more of Bob's flies at The Flies of Bob Franden.
