This fly was a pleasant surprise this fall, taking several Coho. I first learned of this fly from Dennis Dickson of Dickson Flyfishing Steelhead Guides. We fished this fly for Summer Steelhead on one of his Grande Ronde Wilderness trips, but on another trip, he mentioned it was also a good Coho fly. Boy was it ever. This one was tied with a  Silver Holographic Tinsel rib, but I also used several tied with a smaller oval tinsel rib and a sparser, shorter throat.
