This fly was designed by Alaska fly fisherman, Bruce Susinger around 1984, and displayed in the fine book from Alaska Flyfishers, Fly Patterns of Alaska. According to the author, it has proved it's worth for Steelhead and Silvers and Mr. Susinger reportedly took a took a 28 lb. King with it. He recommends fishing it on a floating line with a twist-on lead about 18 inches above the fly to get it into deep pools.
