This salmon smolt imitation was originated by Norval Netsch to imitate fishing those conditions when juvenile salmon are present and are prey for other fish. It has proven effective for Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden, Pink Salmon, Chum Salmon, and Coho Salmon and is most effective fished in very clear waters on big rivers.
