Leons Damsel Hunter Nymph
Originated and Tied by Guthrie Fly

Leons Damsel Hunter Nymph

This experimental fly ( Leons: Damsel Hunter Nymph ) has never been tried before. It's total virgin pattern, but the logic is there. ie: the real damsel nymph is a predator that does seek out and hunt the buzzers, so this one is based on that logic. In my experimental pattern, the Damsel nymph is holding the black buzzer pattern in its jaws, and you know how successful the black buzzer is in itself and also how successful the Damsel Nymph is in itself ! So put the two together and see what happens.

Leon

The following instructions were written by Leon Guthrie for this pattern. Leon would like to get some feedback if you try it out.

Leon's Instructions for Tying
[ Stage 1 | Stage 2 | Stage 3 | Stage 4 ]

This pattern was originated and tied by Leon Guthrie of Galashiels, Scotland. You can see more of his originals at The Flies of Leon Guthrie.
