Note: This pattern is listed in Mel Marshall's, Steelhead, Copyright 1973 as one of the top two dozen Winter Steelhead flies to be counted on. He writes that this Fall Favorite is sometimes tied with white hackle and in the larger sizes it is often tied Optic-style, with a black-painted brass head, and red or orange eye dot.
