Aberlour Bicentenary

Arberlour

This extraordinary fly, called Aberlour Bicentenary, was designed and tied by Dr. David Burns - another in his series of Tartan flies. You can also see more of Dr. Burns' flies at The Flies of Dr. David Burns.

Dr. Burns' email about this fly: "I've been doing a few frames including some Knox kings, an American Steelheader and the attached tartan flies.  I also did the Boise and Lewiston FFF expos.  It was nice to see a lot of old friends and I got to give away a lot of flies.  This year my expo tying was of the #1 mixed wing for the river Tweed (Fitzgibbon, 1850).  I gave away 16 of them.  Most went to kids.  That was great fun!
