Funnel Skunk was tied by Ken Broadhead. You will find many more of his exceptional funnel flies, as well as several other styles at The Flies of Ken Broadhead.

Ken's Notes: ...a different look at steelhead flies from the old style reverse hackle trout flies.  See the The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference, (pg. 362) on how to tie these. Although this book is about trout flies, the methods work on any kind of tying - a must have book for any serious tier.

The stop I refer to is a bead, dubbin, chenille, or thread wraps to help the hackle flare into the funnel shape.
