Tying the Witch
Make a nice underbody. When I tie flies with some dubbing front body I just do the usual cylindrical thin floss body, but when I'm tying a non-dubbed fly (I got the idea from several classic salmon flies, and when tested it noticed that they are awesome divers) I like to make a nicely tapered underbody before the floss. I learned this technique from Rocky, thanks mate :) Oh one thing, don't rush it, just make it slowly with all touching turns and no overlapping, otherwise it will cause bumps on the silk later.
