The Grey Eagle
Dressed by Ronn Lucas Sr.

The Grey Eagle

The Grey Eagle was dressed by contributing fly tyer Ronn Lucas Sr. Ronn, who also posted this fly in our forum. He writes, "Here's an old pattern that remains beautiful to this day. It's called The Grey Eagle because it was tied with Eagle marabou. Of course, today that is not possible. This fly is tied with Peafowl black tip marabou. Yes, it's natural. Very few of these feathers on a bird."

You can see more of the flies tied by Ronn and many of his own designs at The Flies of Ronn Lucas Sr..
