Football registration is $155.00 for the first player and $100.00 for each additional player. A $40 deposit is also required for each participant, which will be refunded to the parent or guardian at the end of the season if they participate in four hours of volunteer service throughout the year. TYF Alumni RYAN MATHEWS signs NFL Contract
Tehachapi Youth Football Alumni Ryan Mathews made history during the summer, parlaying his first round selection with the San Diego Chargers into one of the most lucrative contracts in NFL history.
Matthews signed a 5-year deal worth 26.65 million (15.08 in guaranteed money) in August 2010 after a successful three-year stint with the Fresno State Bulldogs. Mathews is the projected feature back for San Diego, who hopes to revamp the 'bolts running attack after the departure of long-time future Hall-of-Famer LaDanian Tomlinson signed with the New York Jets in the off-season.
For the Tomahawks, Mathews was a standout player during the 2001-2002 seasons, helping Tehachapi reach the GEYF Superbowl.
Congrats to former TYF standout RYAN MATHEWS!
