of Switzerland and California?
The argument?
Joseph Robershotte was from the Ticino Canton (an Italian speaking area) of Switzerland. There are no known families in the world named Robershotte except ours. Therefore, Robershotte must be an Anglicized/phonetic spelling of his name. Living in the same canton of Switzerland is a family named Robasciotti, a phonetic equivalent.
The Question?
