For any of those
who are wondering the "real" reason that Lion-O gets the Sword of Omens,
we've done our research and are here to provide the answers.
It all kind
of comes down to ability. Of course, you could argue that risk-factors
are involved. Lion-O is rather impetuous and takes a lot of risks.
But when you look at it closely, you have to see that Lion-O just doesn't
have the ability to extricate himself from complex situations without help.
Hence the reason
for the Sword of Omens. When he's in trouble, he can call us.
When we're in trouble, we can hold our own until Lion-O gets the message.
As further proof, let's move on to the essay and examine a few situations
in which Lion-O gets into deep trouble.

He does show potential by freeing himself long enough to call the rest of us with the Sword. And he puts on a good show of courage. Good picture of a great glare. Unfortunately, Mumm-Ra doesn't fall for glares anymore. I wonder what Mumm-Ra would do to Lion-O if we ever forgot to answer the summons. Hey, isn't that the Cat Signal outside now? Hmm. Well, now's a good time to find out what happens if we don't show up. |

More Mumm-Ra again. But the mutants and Lunatacs have been known to take Lion-O down, too. I have also been known to take Lion-O down. Oh really. When have you done that? It's all part of my fine physique. Rowr, I tested his reflexes one morning during a workout session. Er, right. Whatever you say, Bengali. |

Maybe that's what Mumm-Ra does to him. Just knocks him out? No way. Mumm-Ra has to be move devious than that. For the sake of a scientific experiment, we should have just sat back and watched what happened rather than leaping to the rescue. I agree, but it's a little too late now. That's okay. Lion-O's bound to get himself in trouble again. Look, the Cat Signal again. Lion-O has Snarf with him. He'll be alright. Wait, what am I saying?! |

Are we usually late to the rescue? I'm noticing a pattern. It's a plot to make Lion-O appreciate us more. Is it working? I doubt it. Pumyra and I were stuck on Third Earth for a long time before you all came back to visit. You can't appreciate everything. I mean, you have to draw the line somewhere. Just what are you saying, Panthro? Um, I think this is a good time for the next slide. |
|
|
Most of the time, Snarf is the one being electorcuted. But Lion-O gets his fair share of shocks and jolts, too. In this scenario, there's not much we can do to save Lion-O. We just stand back and watch until someone shuts off the power. Usually that someone is me. Unless you're in one of your usual daydreams and I have to do it. Are you two still going at it? Give it a rest guys! |
|
|
And we are constantly interrupted by the Sword of Omens when it signals that Lion-O is in trouble yet again. I've tried to teach him how to get out of those things, but he just doesn't catch on. Maybe there's something wrong with the instructor. Would you like your nose impacted on the back of your head? Okay, that's it. I'm taking over. And I say we're done. |
